Chicken Samosas with Green Chutney

Crispy, golden chicken samosas filled with a flavorful, high-protein chicken mixture and served with a fresh, tangy green chutney. These samosas are baked or air-fried instead of deep-fried, making them a lighter, healthier option perfect for snacks, meal prep, or quick dinners.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g Chicken mince or shredded chicken
  • 1/2 Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger Minced
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chili flakes
  • Salt | To taste To tasteTo taste
  • Black pepper To taste
  • 6–8 Samosa wrappers or tortillas Cut & shaped
  • 1 cup Fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup Mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 small Green chili
  • 1 tsp Garlic
  • Salt To taste
  • 2–3 tbsp Water For blending

Equipment

  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Mixing bowl
  • Non-stick pan
  • Spatula
  • Blender (for chutney)
  • Baking tray or air fryer
  • Brush or spray bottle (for oil)
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) or prepare air fryer.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until soft.
  3. Add chicken and cook until fully done.
  4. Season with spices, salt, and pepper, and cook until mixture is slightly dry.
  5. Let the filling cool completely.
  6. Prepare samosa wrappers and shape into cones or pockets.
  7. Fill with chicken mixture and seal tightly.
  8. Place on baking tray or in air fryer, lightly brush or spray with oil.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes or air fry for 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  10. Blend all chutney ingredients until smooth.
  11. Serve samosas hot with green chutney.

  • Protein: ~30–35 g
  • Fat: ~12–18 g
  • Carbohydrates: ~30–40 g
Notes
  • Do not overfill samosas to prevent breaking
  • Seal edges properly to avoid leakage
  • Use pre-cooked chicken to save time
  • Air frying gives best crispy texture with less oil
  • Serve immediately for maximum crunch
