Ingredients
  

  • 200–250 g Ground beef Lean (90/10 preferred)
  • 1 Burger bun Whole wheat optional
  • 1 Slice cheese Cheddar or low-fat
  • Salt To taste
  • Black pepper To taste
  • 1 tsp Olive oil Or cooking spray
  • 2 Potatoes Medium, sliced into fries
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt To taste
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato Sliced
  • Pickles
  • Sauce Light mayo or mustard

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking tray or air fryer
  • Non-stick pan or skillet
  • Spatula (for smashing burger)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven or air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Slice potatoes into fries, toss with olive oil and salt.
  3. Bake or air fry for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway until crispy.
  4. Shape ground beef into a loose ball.
  5. Heat a pan and smash the beef into a thin patty.
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes until crispy, then flip.
  7. Add cheese and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  8. Toast burger bun lightly in the same pan.
  9. Assemble burger with patty and desired toppings.
  10. Serve hot with crispy fries.
